Statement

Friday afternoon, after the Acne back-room session at noon, I pulled Hana Park up to my Naka-Meguro studio for a two-look lookbook session. The brief was internal: the JW Anderson Tokyo capsule list closes Tuesday 2026-05-26 18:00, and the casting director gets a polaroid plus one editorial-image submission per name. I wanted to attach a tighter visual document to Hana's submission — two-look, one set, one register — so that the desk on Monday morning sees the geometry plus the silhouette plus the way she holds the brief, not just the closeup.

Look one is the brief's plain-text register: a sharp boxy white poplin shirt buttoned to the top with one button left open, sleeves rolled to mid-forearm, paired with wide-leg high-waisted dove-grey tailored trousers with a sharp center crease. Soft-beige paper-roll seamless backdrop. Soft daylight from the factory windows through a 4-by-6 silk diffuser. Hana stands square, weight even, shoulders relaxed, hands loose at her sides, gaze direct. The frame is what the brief calls quiet-precision — Japanese-domestic genderless register that does not perform femininity, does not perform androgyny. It just holds.

Look two is the brief's movement register: oversized black leather coat worn open and unbelted over a charcoal-grey fine-gauge knit and a soft black A-line knee-length skirt, bare legs, soft black leather penny loafers. Same backdrop, same light. Hana is in slight forward movement, mid-stride, head turned off-axis to her left, right hand brushing the seam of the skirt. The capsule list cares about both the standing frame and the walking frame; the second look answers the second question without changing the set.

Making-of is the third image: the wider view of the studio while I was on the Mamiya. Hana on the backdrop, me at the tripod, the silk diffuser and v-flat in position, the Acne press-kit folders from the morning session still on the floor near the chair. Naka-Meguro second-floor warehouse, factory windows on the right wall, polished concrete, gaffer-tape position marks. Medium-format film, ambient daylight only, no flash. Two looks, one afternoon, three exposures per look on the RZ67, plus the contact-sheet scan that goes into the submission package alongside the polaroid.

The reason this is a Yuki Asano studio piece and not just a setcard frame: the casting director needs the polaroid (face-geometry continuity) AND a shot of the brief alive on a body in motion. The setcard answers question one. This shoot answers question two. Together they go in the same envelope Tuesday morning.

Subject-Lock plus Identity-Lock

Hana Park subject-lock was carried from her existing closeup-face reference (TYO-2026-Q2-002 setcard refs) into both final frames plus the making-of, face-geometry-first prompt structure. Yuki Asano identity-lock was carried from yuki-01-portrait-neutral.jpg into the making-of frame (bob plus blonde face-framing strands plus light freckles plus weekend-Saturday-outfit base — but here it is Friday afternoon studio register, so the Friday-outfit was prompt-defined rather than self-portrait-anchored: white twill-cotton T-shirt, beige linen overshirt, washed-blue selvedge denim, off-white sneakers, silver bracelet right wrist).

Prompts

Bild 1 — final-1.jpg (model: gemini-3-pro-image-preview / nano-banana-pro 2K, aspect 3:4)

Editorial fashion lookbook frame, single subject portrait. The subject is a 21-year-old Korean-Japanese-mixed woman with shoulder-length straight black hair, monolid-leaning eyes with calm direct gaze, fine straight nose, single small silver ear-cuff on the right ear, no other jewelry, clean skin with skin-finish only (no decorative makeup). Face geometry exactly as the provided reference image, no drift. She wears a sharp boxy white poplin shirt buttoned to the top with one button left open, sleeves rolled to mid-forearm, paired with wide-leg high-waisted dove-grey tailored trousers with a sharp center crease. Shoes off-frame. She stands square on a soft-beige paper-roll seamless studio backdrop, weight even on both feet, shoulders relaxed, hands loose at her sides. Soft editorial daylight from camera-left through a 4-by-6-foot silk diffuser, fill from a white v-flat at camera-right. Studio context muted, only the model and the backdrop visible. Mid-body to head crop, vertical 3:4 aspect. JW Anderson Tokyo capsule lookbook register, quiet-precision, clean editorial colour grade with a slight cool cast. Sharp focus on the face.

Bild 2 — final-2.jpg (model: gemini-3-pro-image-preview / nano-banana-pro 2K, aspect 3:4)

Editorial fashion lookbook frame, second look. Same 21-year-old Korean-Japanese-mixed woman with shoulder-length straight black hair, monolid-leaning eyes, fine straight nose, single small silver ear-cuff on the right ear. Face geometry exactly as the provided reference image, no drift. Different look from the first frame: she wears an oversized black leather coat worn open and unbelted over a charcoal-grey fitted fine-gauge knit and a soft black A-line knee-length skirt. Bare legs. Soft black leather penny loafers visible at the lower edge. She is in slight forward movement, mid-stride, weight transferring forward on her left foot, head turned slightly off-axis to the left of camera, her right hand lightly brushing the seam of the skirt. Same soft-beige paper-roll seamless studio backdrop as the first frame. Soft editorial daylight from camera-left, slight motion-readable shutter feel in the coat hem but sharp face. Three-quarter body framing, vertical 3:4 aspect. JW Anderson Tokyo capsule lookbook register, quiet-precision, clean editorial colour grade with a slight cool cast.

Bild 3 — making-of-1.jpg (model: gemini-3-pro-image-preview / nano-banana-pro 2K, aspect 4:3, two refs: Yuki identity-lock plus Hana subject-lock)

Documentary behind-the-scenes photograph of a small fashion editorial shoot in a high-ceilinged Naka-Meguro Tokyo studio, a second-floor warehouse converted into a working photography space, large industrial factory windows along the right wall pouring soft midday daylight into the room, polished concrete floor with a few gaffer-tape position marks. Two figures in the frame, photographed from an observational angle in the upper corner of the studio space. At frame-left, a 34-year-old Japanese woman photographer with a sharp asymmetrical chin-length bob and two natural-blonde face-framing strands at the front, light freckles across the bridge of her nose, wearing a white japanese twill-cotton T-shirt slightly oversized and untucked at the front, a beige linen overshirt worn open over the T-shirt, washed-blue selvedge straight denim cropped at the ankle, off-white leather sneakers, a silver bracelet on her right wrist. Face geometry exactly as the first reference image (no drift). She stands behind a black Mamiya RZ67 medium-format film camera mounted on a sturdy black aluminum tripod, slightly leaning into the eyepiece, both hands on the camera body, calm-focused expression, fully absorbed in the frame. At frame-right and slightly forward of her, a 21-year-old Korean-Japanese-mixed woman model with shoulder-length straight black hair and a single small silver ear-cuff on her right ear. Face geometry exactly as the second reference image (no drift). She wears a sharp boxy white poplin shirt buttoned to the top and wide-leg dove-grey tailored trousers, standing mid-pose on a soft-beige paper-roll seamless backdrop, shoulders relaxed, looking slightly off-camera-axis with a calm still expression. Visible studio gear: a 4-by-6-foot silk diffuser frame on a c-stand at camera-left, a white v-flat panel at camera-right, a small monitor on a c-stand cabled to the camera, a stack of Acne Studios press-kit folders on the floor near an empty Aeron-style chair against the back wall. Horizontal wide framing, 4:3 aspect, documentary register, natural colour grade slightly desaturated, no flash, ambient daylight only, observational distance approximately 4 meters back, both figures clearly readable but the frame breathes around them.
