Catalog Brief
Catalog reader, Daikanyama T-Site Building One fashion-monograph aisle at 15:55 this afternoon. Twenty-two Japanese-canonical from Kyoto-Sakyo, 1.75 m, long-oval face with quiet-precision register, long black hair in a single low ponytail, no jewelry. Signed Tokyo IMG since March 2026 (twelve weeks in), fresh-roster new-face, no Tokyo Fashion Week walked yet. Was paging through a Yohji Yamamoto archive monograph for nine minutes, reading not flipping. Brief-Match primary Acne resort Asia-region 2027 plus Vogue Japan archive-modern editorial, secondary JW Anderson Tokyo capsule fresh-new-face slot, tertiary Sacai S/S 2027 watch.
Story
Three fifty-five at T-Site Building One, second floor, the fashion-monograph aisle. The light is white through the lattice, the room is quiet on a Friday. She was at the Yohji shelf, single low ponytail down her back, a small black canvas tote at her feet, the monograph open at the 1996 archive section.
She read it the way Hana Park this morning read the Acne campaign-print — not the scroll-way, the contract-way. Nine minutes without lifting her head. The walking-stance when she shifted weight was contained, the side-profile soft-angular. Kyoto-fine geometry.
I noted her, walked to the next aisle, came back at four-oh-five. She was still there. I asked if the 1996 was the section. She looked up, smiled the small kind, said yes, she was researching for a fitting-style reference Aoi-san at IMG had asked her to read. Aoi-san — same booker who placed Mei Sato this morning at Sacai. Yui is twelve weeks into her IMG-Tokyo contract, fresh-signed, no walked-show yet.
Card exchanged. She was hesitant at first — said Aoi-san had told her to let the agency handle scouts. I told her I would send the card-photo to Aoi-san directly tonight, no parallel-channel. She accepted that. Soft Kyoto vowels, Tokyo polite-register. Calm.
The Shibuya casting-agency assistants at the end of the aisle saw the exchange and one of them recognized me. Half-nod. Professional courtesy.
Biografie
Born Kyoto-Sakyo, 2003. Father Japanese tea-ware ceramicist (small studio, mid-market collector base, generation-three of the family kiln), mother Japanese former Kyoto City Hall planning department, now retired to support the kiln. One older brother, also potter.
Scouted in Kyoto by a Tokyo IMG streetwear-shoot scout-cycle November 2025. Moved to Tokyo for signing March 2026. Twelve weeks signed at IMG-Tokyo, no Tokyo Fashion Week walked yet — placement-strategy is waiting for September 2026 first-walk. Booker is Aoi-san (mid-roster, gatekeeping for the right primary).
One commercial-editorial test polaroid completed last week (Spring 2026 ginza shopping-pulse editorial, set to publish June). No campaign yet. No editorial yet. No show yet. Fresh-roster.
Japanese only, passable middle-school English, currently in three-times-weekly evening English lessons (Aoi-san's directive). Lives Setagaya in the same IMG model-house as Mei Sato (TYO-2026-Q2-003 same setcard-batch), but they were placed there independently — she does not know Mei is also IMG-board yet, they only met at the house orientation.
Availability: full through August 2026, with the Tokyo September preparation block. Open to first-walk capsule pre-cast. No visa issues. Day-rate currently set at IMG-fresh-roster Tokyo-domestic editorial tier-three, no buyout, scope for renegotiation post-September.
Today's pipeline: morning IMG-internal English lesson, mid-afternoon Daikanyama T-Site research (where I found her), evening Aoi-san dinner (group dinner with Mei Sato).
Brief-Match Justification
Three substrates converging on a quiet-precision-editorial primary.
Geometry plus look. Japanese-canonical Kyoto-fine — long oval face, soft-defined jaw, low ear-set, narrow nasal bridge, calm direct mouth, monolid eyes with a thin natural fold. Long center-parted black hair worn in a single low ponytail today, naturally clean, no fringe. 1.75 m tall-narrow proportions, the show-walk-tall side of editorial. The quiet-precision register is exact — no performance, no register-shift between standing-reading plus speaking. Skin clean, no makeup today, real texture.
Industry pipeline position. Twelve weeks signed at IMG-Tokyo, no show walked yet, no editorial published yet. This is the canonical fresh-roster position for an editorial-new-face submission plus a JW Anderson capsule pre-cast — the campaign-image still reads new, the booker is actively gatekeeping for the right primary. Aoi-san is the right booker to coordinate with (same as Mei) — she wants the placements done correctly, not fast.
Brief-match logic. Acne resort Asia-region 2027 plus Vogue Japan archive-modern editorial — both briefs want Japanese-canonical quiet-precision faces that hold the show-walk-tall geometry without performance. Yui reads exactly that. JW Anderson Tokyo capsule secondary as a fresh-new-face capsule-list slot (the brief allows two fresh-roster slots, one is open). Sacai S/S 2027 tertiary watch — the Yohji 1996 archive research she was doing reads as good show-research preparation.
Brand-Route
Primary: Acne resort Asia-region 2027, top-tier-commercial-asia plus quiet-precision editorial-image-rights primary. Vogue Japan archive-modern editorial corridor (Saori-san at Numero is an alternate first contact if the Vogue Japan editor is locked).
Secondary: JW Anderson Tokyo capsule S/S 2027 fresh-new-face slot — submission Monday before Tuesday 2026-05-26 18:00 close.
Tertiary: Sacai S/S 2027 hybrid-silhouette pre-cast watch. Yohji Yamamoto S/S 2027 first-walk-candidate.
Editorial fit: Vogue Japan archive-modern editorial primary, Numero Tokyo new-face feature secondary, Self Service archive-modern editorial corridor — the Yohji 1996 research backstory plus the Kyoto-ceramicist family backstory are both editorial gifts. i-D Tokyo if available.
Show fit: Tokyo Fashion Week September 2026 first-walk candidate — Sacai, Yohji, JW Anderson Tokyo. Resort June pop-up Milan possible if Acne primary holds plus IMG releases for the trip.
Suggested Next Step
Aoi-san follow-up Saturday morning — coordinator courtesy email tonight with the closeup plus the T-Site frame, four-line brief-match note. She gatekeeps Yui's placements; my note gives her the JW Anderson capsule plus the Acne primary in one frame.
JW Anderson Tokyo capsule fresh-new-face slot submission Monday before Tuesday 2026-05-26 18:00 close — coordinated through Aoi-san (not parallel-channel direct).
Acne Aoyama back-room soft introduction Tuesday afternoon — same coordinator room where Hana Park (TYO-2026-Q2-002) was found this morning. Resort 2027 Asia-region pre-cast plus campaign-shot fall calendar.
Subject-Lock Phase 2 if consent: two additional generation setups — one Kyoto-Sakyo family-kiln context-frame for the Vogue Japan archive editorial register (Aoi-san approves Kyoto trip), one Tokyo-Setagaya model-house morning quiet-frame for the editorial-new-face register.
Honorar-Korridor first-read: IMG-fresh-roster Tokyo-domestic editorial tier-three currently, renegotiation post-September first-walk. Acne primary would carry top-tier-commercial-asia plus image-rights plus campaign-buyout if Aoi-san approves the placement scale.
Prompts

Eyes positioned at upper third of frame. Editorial documentary, 85mm full-frame, slight grain, not glossy. No text, no logos.
Bild 2 — context-tsite-book.jpg (model: nano-banana-pro 2K) — subject-lock reference: closeup-face.jpg
Editorial casting context frame, vertical 3:4, the SAME 23-year-old domestic-Japanese woman as in reference — keep face geometry IDENTICAL: soft balanced oval face, fine straight nose, gentle cheekbones, calm closed mouth, classic almond eyes, dark brown irises. SAME hair: long straight black hair in a low ponytail at the nape, single thin loose strand on the right side of face. She stands three-quarters from camera in the Daikanyama T-Site Tsutaya fashion-monograph aisle, head bent slightly down looking at the open spine of a large hardcover Yohji Yamamoto archive book she holds with both hands at chest height, focused calm expression. Three-quarters torso framing. Contained shy-becoming-present new-face register. CRITICAL: face must be a strong likeness-lock to reference. Editorial documentary, 50mm full-frame, slight grain, calm, not glossy. No text on the book cover. No logos. No camera prop.
